The Golden Grockle is The Academy tavern and is located within the grounds for the exclusive use of Prydonian Society members.
The innkeeper is Mr MacGregor who together with his daughter Willow joined our employment "looking for a new challenge" upon leaving The Green Man public house in Scotland.
The tavern is looked on as a home from home for members visiting on business. There are several rooms available for overnight accommodation and meals will be cooked to order by Willow, with room service being a speciality.
The Golden Grockle is also used as the hub for any events organised by The Lord High President, whether it is a singalong in the tavern bar or a special celebratory bonfire in The Academy grounds there is always something happening.
Founded in 1752 during the eleven day empire The Prydonian Society has a long and ancient tradition. The Prydonian Society stands for Truth, Honour and One upmanship. It was created as a means for like minded individuals to gather together in a forum for discussion, innovation and rumination over past, present and future events. Our motto is "Tempus fugit sed semper aliquid novi"
